Ny’Kerrion Cooper

Beulah High School

Ny’Kerrion Cooper the daughter of Latoya Cooper is presently studying at Alabama A&M University where she is majoring in Criminal Justice with her sights set on becoming a Forensic Scientist. Hardworking, Big-hearted and Humble are three words she would use to describe herself. She has been working since the age of fourteen because she knows that hard work helps you get those things you need and some of the things you want. Ny’Kerrion believes that when you want better for yourself you must be willing to make some sacrifices, make good choices, put in the time and effort to do what is necessary to accomplish your goals. Having a strong work ethnic has helped her support herself and believe in what can be. Her deep passion for helping others has led her to assist in feeding the homeless in Huntsville on the weekends and donating time during her job at a beauty salon to give out $15.00 dollar sets one week out of the month to a patron who may need a little pampering to make themselves feel better. Not growing up with a lot of material things has helped her realize you must continue to keep pushing if you want to reach your goals in life. She believes it is important to believe in yourself, trust and work hard to meet any challenge and always stay focused on what is ahead.

Her favorite book, Harry Potter series as favorite, noting its imaginative world, themes of courage and friendship, and the way the story inspires readers to believe in possibility.
